The Murphy family started day 5 of their Great Aviva Road Trip with an early morning drive from Cork to Kerry. The journey itself was a highlight of the trip. The comfortable and smooth drive in their Citroën made it easy to enjoy Cork and Kerry’s natural landscapes. The boys had fun spotting plenty of wildlife and farm animals along the way.
First Stop in Crag Cave, Kerry
The Murphy’s had their first stop of the day in Crag Cave, where they met Micheal who took them through the cave. It was a really unique experience for all the family. Getting to walk underneath the surface and learn all about how stalagmites and stalactites are formed. It was a great adventure for the boys with over 70 steps to climb deep down into the cave. Mum and Dad were very impressed and felt the tour itself was very accessible and catered to young families making it well worth a visit.
Some More Family Fun at The Crazy Cave
After exploring deep below the ground in the Crag Cave, the boys were delighted with even more adventures in the soft play area at Crazy Cave. It was perfect for the wet summer’s day outside. The Murphy’s finished off their visit with a delicious lunch in the Garden Café and of course a stop in the gift shop where both boys left with a new tractor toy each.
Day six relaxing in the Radisson Blu
On day six the family headed off on the road to Limerick and checked into the Radisson Blu Hotel. After an exciting few days, they got to enjoy some downtime with a relaxing Sunday to enjoy the very best of the hotel's facilities.
The Radisson Blu Paddock Farm
The Radisson Blu in Limerick had plenty of facilities to keep the boys entertained, including a children’s outdoor play area and the Paddock petting farm on-site. The whole family loved getting to see the animals up close while exploring the 20 acres of parklands.
