Aviva, in collaboration with Citroën, have given Michelle and Steve Riddett, along with their two children Emma and Alex, a family adventure of a lifetime: a 10-day road trip around the breathtaking landscapes of Ireland.
Day three of the Riddett family’s Great Aviva Road Trip was nothing short of exhilarating! After a day of surf, sun, and scenic train rides, the family was ready to dive into a day filled with outdoor adventure at Castlecomer Discovery Park. With their trusty Citroën C5 Aircross ë-Series Plug-In Hybrid and their car insurance provided by Aviva, they set off early, eager to explore everything this unique attraction had to offer.
Adventure Awaits at Castlecomer Discovery Park
The Riddett family arrived at Castlecomer Discovery Park at 11 am, and from the moment they stepped out of the car, they knew they were in for an action-packed day. The park, with its vast open spaces and endless activities, was a dream come true for Emma and Alex, who couldn’t wait to ditch their screens for some real-world fun.
First up was the Climbing Wall, where the kids raced each other to the top while Steve and Michelle cheered them on. The Sky Walk was next, and although Michelle was a bit nervous at first, her excitement grew as she watched Emma and Alex fearlessly tackle the high ropes course. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and before long, Michelle found herself enjoying the challenge too, proving that adventure really does run in the family.
The day flew by as the Riddetts explored every corner of the park. Alex, always up for a new challenge, found his calling in archery, spending the afternoon honing his skills under the guidance of the park’s friendly and knowledgeable staff. Meanwhile, Emma couldn’t get enough of the adventure play areas, climbing, swinging, and sliding her way through the day.
A Day Full of Memories
Castlecomer Discovery Park exceeded every expectation the family had. They were blown away by the sheer variety of activities available, from the thrilling treetop adventures to the more relaxed options like archery. The park staff— Steven, Katie, Mimi, and Jack were incredible, making sure the family felt welcome and safe while encouraging them to push their boundaries and try new things.
When it was time to refuel, the Riddetts were delighted by the food options on site. With plenty of delicious choices, everyone found something they loved, and they were able to sit down together, share a meal, and recount their favourite moments of the day.
By the time the park was closing, the family still hadn’t had enough. They didn’t want to leave and made a pact to return soon, with Michelle even suggesting a weekend getaway centred around the park’s many activities. “We can’t recommend this place enough!” Michelle exclaimed as they finally wrapped up and headed back to their car, tired but thrilled with their day.
